Denise Byblow

M.C., B.A. Canadian Certified Counsellor #4422. (she/her)

Hi, I’m Denise Byblow, a Certified Canadian Counsellor and co-owner of PPC. With over 13 years of experience in the field, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through a wide range of challenges. My counselling style is client-centered and solution-focused, grounded in the belief that gaining insight into our thoughts, feelings, and perceptions helps us heal, grow, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I have a strong background in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) which remains a core part of my practice. However, I take an integrative approach, drawing from a variety of therapeutic models to meet the unique needs of each client. I believe that no single method fits all, and I work collaboratively to find the strategies that feel right and effective for you.
Over the years, I’ve worked with clients navigating grief and loss, depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, parenting challenges, life stressors, and a variety of mental health concerns. I offer both short- and long-term support, always at a pace that respects where you’re at and what you’re ready for.

I have specialized experience providing coaching and support for parents and guardians of children with developmental delays or learning disabilities, especially those on the autism spectrum. This includes behaviour planning based on functional skill assessments, implemented collaboratively with families.

Additionally, I support parents and children adjusting to separation and divorce, helping them navigate new family dynamics and expectations in often high-conflict situations. I also provide postpartum adjustment support for both moms and dads, as well as anxiety management for children and crisis or trauma-informed interventions when needed.

At the heart of my work is a commitment to walk alongside clients as they explore new ways of thinking, feeling, and being—supporting them in moving toward their goals and potential, one step at a time.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Adam and our three kids. You can usually catch me at the rink, soccer pitch or dance studio watching our kids do what they love most or spending time with friends and family. I love to travel and be outdoors, soaking up as much sunshine as possible. Thank you for checking us out. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you.
