What can you expect during a counselling session with Jenny? Jenny genuinely wants to hear your story, including both your struggles and successes. She is passionate about providing high-quality therapeutic and professional care that will help you find solutions while encouraging your innate strengths and resilience. She values creativity in your work together to help you understand your inner world and emotions. This includes developing practical skills and coping strategies, such as mindfulness and relationship building. With over 20 years of experience in the helping professions, Jenny has had the pleasure of working with families, couples, and individuals from diverse backgrounds and various stages of life.
Currently, Jenny works with individuals, couples, and children. When she works with couples, her focus is on collaboration. She wants to help strengthen and heal your relationship while developing practical skills that matter to you both. Every relationship is unique, and Jenny will honour your experiences and the vision you have for your partnership. For kids aged 7-12, Jenny brings creativity and play into your sessions to build trust and connection—all while having fun! She aims to help children become more aware of their feelings and develop age-appropriate relationship skills. Plus, she believes parents play a vital role in this journey, so your involvement is essential!
For individuals of any age, grief is an area particularly close to Jenny’s heart. She recognizes that everyone experiences and expresses grief in their own way, shaped by their culture, beliefs, and their relationship to their loss.
Jenny has a Master of Arts in Counselling and is a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC). Her therapeutic approach incorporates a range of evidence-based psychological methods tailored to meet the needs of each individual or group. She sees clients in person and offers phone and virtual counselling, ensuring access and convenience for everyone.
