Counselling sessions can be funded through several different sources – Employee Family Assistance Programs (EFAP), insurance benefits or paid personally.
Therapists at PPC charge rates between $130 to $145 per 50-60-minute hour for counselling sessions. Conflict Resolution and other non-clinical services are charged a higher hourly rate. There is a fee charged for missed appointments (No Shows, or Late Cancellations when less than 24 hours’ notice is given)
According to the Psychological Society of Saskatchewan, the recommended fee for Psychological services provided by Psychologists registered with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists is $180.00 per hour (effective 2018).
Many insurance providers offer coverage for psychological services through extended health benefits. If you have extended health benefits it is possible that some portion of the services we provide can be directly billed to your provider or will be partially or fully reimbursable if you pay personally.
Not all insurance policies cover services with any Registered therapist. Many plans are quite specific about therapist credentialing. Check with your insurance company to determine if the therapist you are seeing qualifies under your specific policy.
In the event that an Employee Assistance Program or direct insurance billing is not available, sessions are payable by Debit, Visa, Mastercard, Cheque or Cash.
