Dave Berg

M.C., B.Ed., B.A. Canadian Certified Counsellor #14329. (he/him)

Dave is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with over 10 years of experience and is passionate about supporting teens, parents, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful change. Throughout his career, he has worked with individuals facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, parenting challenges, life transitions, and goal setting. He strives to create a welcoming, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported.

His approach is client-centred and solution-focused, recognizing that each person brings unique strengths, experiences, and goals to the counselling process. Dave primarily draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) while integrating other evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to best meet the needs of each client. Together, he works with clients to identify practical strategies, build resilience, and develop skills that can be applied in everyday life.

Dave believes that counselling is not only about addressing current difficulties but also about fostering greater self-awareness, personal growth, and confidence. His goal is to help clients gain new perspectives, learn effective coping strategies, and develop the tools they need to move forward with greater clarity and purpose.
